Social Media Personality
We can talk wherever you like, so Like/Follow/Subscribe, and let’s start a conversation. How do you describe your social media personality? Do you gravitate more toward conversational posts that show up in your Facebook feed or do you like short, sweet, and to-the-point tweets that provide links for more info? Maybe you prefer watching a video, so you go right to YouTube for how-to solutions, or you like the visual messages of Instagram.
Regardless of how you like to learn ways to improve your Pilates business, Profitable Pilates has Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube channels so that you can quickly get the information that you need, on your preferred social media platform.
Social Media Platforms
Here’s a quick snapshot of what you’ll find on each of my channels. Like/Follow/Subscribe so that you have the tools, resources, and info you need to improve your teaching and your business model. (Let me do the work so that you can do more of what you love!)
Facebook
On this page, you’ll find posts with details on/links to my latest workshops, newest blog posts, upcoming book signings, weekly Notes to Inspire, and more. Nothing makes me happier than to see a fellow instructor/studio owner become a stronger, more effective entrepreneur.
Twitter
When you scroll through your feed, you want quick answers to your questions. I get it. That’s what you’ll find on my Twitter channel. I provide you with links to new videos; sound business techniques, tips, and strategies; the latest research (on the health benefits of Pilates) and so much more.
Instagram
My Instagram grid of images are designed to inspire you (and me!) with quotes, poses, and links, so you can see where I want you to take your Pilates business.
YouTube
Want to perfect your mat- and equipment-based techniques? If so, this channel is for you. I’ve created a lot of videos where I quickly (but expertly) demonstrate the proper form and execution of each move or exercise (this is Pilates with a capital “P”).
My next blog post will be a guest blog by Amy Taylor Alpers, a 26-year veteran Pilates instructor and co-owner/co-founder of The Pilates Center in Boulder, Colo. I had the privilege of conducting workshops at Amy’s studio, and asked her to blog about how these experiences benefitted her business. As Amy says, “I can remember when ‘marketing’ was taking out an ad in the local newspaper or a magazine. Understanding how to use social media today—and how to use it locally in marketing your business—is essential.”
I couldn’t agree more! I’m a business owner and instructor just like you, so I know that the time you have to spend on social media is limited. Pick the channel that works best for you and make a point of checking in on a regular basis. I’m always adding new content to help you be successful (and profitable!) in your Pilates practice.
