Unmasking Imposter Syndrome

Fake… Swindler… Impersonator… Pretender… Charlatan… the list of synonyms for “Imposter” goes on and on. Most of us will never be called these names by anyone, but ourselves.

What if instead of believing we are “a fake”, we believed that we were worthy of the amazing things others say about us?

John Mollura will share his transformative journey from not believing he was not worthy of a wall of awards he received for his efforts across our planet (and beyond!) supporting NASA and military projects to becoming a philanthropic photographer helping others see themselves in a more positive way and unlocking their full potential.

The description

In this class, I will discuss:

1. What is Imposter Syndrome
Many people don’t even know what Imposter Syndrome is (I didn’t know for thirty years). Giving something a name, especially something that is troubling you, helps you regain some power over it. We will learn about the five types of Imposter Syndrome and spoiler alert, they usually show up together.

2. What causes it
Imposter Syndrome is insidious because it can seemingly pop up out of nowhere. We discuss some of the triggers and predispositions that can lend themselves to Imposter Syndrome.

3. What are the costs

4. How to change
The good news is that once you realize what type of Imposter Syndrome occurs for you, your triggers, and begin to understand the good you can bring into the world by managing Imposter Syndrome you can begin to develop a game plan with some of the strategies I share in this presentation.
