Pilates Business Workshops
Last week I spent a few days out in Montecito, California, at the studios of PilatesAnytime.com. In the past, I’ve visited to participate as a body when some of my favorite instructors were filming classes for their website. But on this trip, I had the pleasure to instruct some classes myself, and in just a few weeks, you’ll have a reformer and mat class to enjoy at your leisure. But, more exciting than that (in my opinion), I was able to film several Pilates business workshops for their website also! This topic is one that I am so passionate about. I realized while on my drive home at 3 am that coaching Pilates Instructors lights my fire so much I can’t even sleep! Seriously, I was filled with so much joy, excitement, and anticipation, I awoke from my dreams and could not push my excitement aside to fall back asleep. I cannot wait for you all to see the courses we put together for both Pilates instructors and studio owners.
Many instructors and studio owners like you are wracking their brains trying to make your magic happen. You have your knowledge of the Pilates method and you just can’t wait to share it with the world. You have told your friends and family what you teach, you have gone online and done what you think will help get clients to come to you – and yet you find yourself underworking or overworking and not as inspired as you thought you would be. This is where I come in! I focus on helping you navigate what is and what’s not working, and where you should be spending your time, energy, and dollars.
3 Ways of Pilates Business Coaching
I am often asked how “it” works. My Pilates business coaching can come to you in a variety of ways. Let’s talk about the three most popular ways you can take advantage of the Profitable Pilates business coaching:
Profitablepilates.com – My online business courses and blog are great for those of you who are working on a tight schedule. You need coaching on your own timeline – like late at night when the last client has left and you can finally focus without interruption. Maybe you aren’t interested in a coaching call and just need a few fresh ideas. My Pilates business courses and blog posts are here when you are ready, covering topics that are specifically relevant to your life goals and Pilates business. I recommend starting with these two: “Teaching your Vision” and “Never a dull Moment.”
One on One – For a more personalized approach, I work with instructors and studio owners via FaceTime or Skype. These hour-long calls are perfect for bouncing ideas, digging deep, and role-playing. What is great about these calls is that no question is too small or too complicated. Maybe you’re at a crossroads in your teaching and you are unsure of where to go next. Maybe you have been running a studio all by yourself and don’t want to shut it down, but just need a solid month off. Some clients of mine need help to see the big picture. When we work together with one on one, it’s easier for you to get the tools and direction you need to take fruitful action. Team Workshops – As a studio owner, maybe you’ve noticed that your teachers are having trouble converting first-time clients, or perhaps you know they are struggling to raise their rates – or maybe they don’t have rates at all! If you can see an area where your business or your instructors’ business needs more assistance, having a workshop dedicated to one specific issue could be key for the success of your team, and ultimately your studio. Read about the benefits of attending one of my Pilates business workshops by studio owners Andrea Maida, Sandy Shimoda, and Daniela Escobar. The best part about these workshops is that they will be tailored to your studio and your business goals. No one size fits all here. My Profitable Pilates business coaching is like your personal Pilates practice: You can take classes online, you can enjoy a private session all about you, or you can have your favorite Pilates instructor come in and share their knowledge on client conversion, retention, or even on exercises or equipment your team wants more info on. The only difference is, we’ll be working on you and your Pilates business goals. I know this is an area many of you would prefer to avoid. However, the exercises you dislike the most are often the ones your body truly needs. Avoiding the business side is not going to make your Pilates business goals happen faster. Taking time to hone your Pilates business skills means you’ll be doing more of what you love doing – and feel pretty awesome while doing it.
