Notes 2 Inspire: Where Will You Spend Your Freakout Funds?

This week it was almost impossible for me to get my work done. I had done a lot of it in advance. But, as each day passed and I saw my must read, must do emails grow and grow this pain inside me also continued to grow.

Have you ever felt that? That constant pull that you’re not doing enough? That you could be doing more? That you need to be doing more?

The truth is if I had given up my workouts our an hour or two of sleep each night I could totally have gotten to all those emails and maybe even more. But, I would also have been putting myself in a place to become sick, tired and worthless during the day.

I played this tug of war game inside my head for the first day and into the second day. And, then I remembered a “note 2 inspire” from a while back. It was one on “Controlling your controllables.”

It’s absolutely a waste of time to worry about the things in which you have little to no control over. And, we only get so much time and energy in a day. It’s like money. You can only spend what you have.

Do you really want to waste your freakout funds on something you have no control over? Or, is it better to let go of what you can’t control and freak out on something you can?

This week, if you feel the anxiety bubbling up take a moment to see if that freak out is worth the funds you’ve got or if you should save it for something else?
